Junior Leaguers and their guests are invited to a private guided tour of one of San Francisco's most iconic homes -- one of the Painted Ladies on Postcard Row, Alamo Square.

The one-hour tour will be presented in an informal, friendly, storytelling format. One of the best preserved of the circa 1894 homes in this row, this home is filled with family heirlooms and the stories of those who once owned them, dating back to 1849 and the Gold Rush.

Visitors will have a unique experience of what it is like to live in one of the most well-known homes in America through the eyes of a native and historian who has been the owner for over two decades.

George Horsfall (homeowner) is elated to partner with our League with partial proceeds donated to the New Member Project Fund. He wants to note that the house has been mainly owned by women. It was passed down to him by his mother who was a school teacher.

Tickets are $30 for the private tour of all three stories. A bring-your-own picnic lunch across the street at Alamo Square Park to follow with dessert provided.

Optional Carpool from the Peninsula will be coordinated a week before the event through email. Meet at the low park wall directly across the street from Painted Ladies.

Tickets are non-refundable but can be passed on if a schedule conflict arises.

We are excited to spend a lovely afternoon together with you!
