2020 Grant Application

INSTRUCTIONS

The Junior League of Palo Alto•Mid Peninsula (JLPA•MP) is currently soliciting grant applications from local nonprofits that want to fund programs, specialized training for volunteers, capital expenditures, or other expenses. The Junior League of Palo Alto•Mid Peninsula is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

Eligible applicants must have tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and their mission must align with the JLPA•MP’s focus area of empowering girls to be STEAM leaders of tomorrow. Nonprofit programs that don’t provide direct STEAM-related services should make sure to include in the application an explanation of how their program connects or enhances girls’ ability to enter STEAM professional fields.

Grants will range in value up to $70,000. A portion of the funds must have the potential to benefit people or groups within the JLPA•MP service area (San Mateo to Sunnyvale).

All grant applications are due by January 12, 2020. Recipients will be notified in March 2020 and publicly announced in May 2020.
